Organization of Khelo India – National School Games Competitions.

Central Government through the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, has decided to organize Khelo India Competitions from 2017-18. Competitions of following games are organized under this scheme: Archery, Boxing, Judo, Gymnastics, Swimming, Athletics, Weight Lifting, Badminton, Wrestling, Rifle Shooting, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball, Basketball, Hockey, Football, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis. Out of the competitions of above games at National level, one thousand athletes are being selected and will be provided financial aid of Rs. 5.00 lakh per year for upcoming eight years for their preparation for International competition.
