To nurture and promote the sports culture of Maharashtra, various sports competitions are organized to attract the youth towards sports and to give them an opportunity to showcase their sporting talents, such as the Late Khashaba Jadhav Wrestling Competition, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj State-Level Kabaddi Competition, Bhai Nerulkar Kho-Kho Competition, and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj State-Level Volleyball Cup Competition. Through this, players from the state get the opportunity to play alongside international-level athletes and to observe skills up close.
