Construction of Olympic Bhavan and Olympic Museum

In Maharashtra, it is proposed to build an Olympic Bhavan to provide a unified platform for the development of sports through all the various sports organizations. The government has granted approval for the construction of the Olympic building at Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Mahalunge Balewadi, according to Government Decision No. Sports-3020/Pr. No. 35/Kriyuse-1 dated March 27, 2020. An area of 2.50 acres, located on the left side of the main entrance of the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, has been designated for the construction of the Olympic Bhavan. A proposal has been submitted at the government level to appoint the Public Works Department as the construction agency for this building. The Public Works Department has prepared the plans for the construction. An estimated budget of Rs. 44.70 crores have been approved for the construction of the Olympic Bhavan and funds totalling Rs. 44.70 crores have been made available through government decisions.
