Financial assistance for the development of Wrestling Art

To preserve the tradition of Wrestling in the state and to encourage the development of the skills of wrestlers, a plan is being implemented to provide monetary compensation. The government has approved the allocation of improved rates of honorarium to skilled wrestlers in various 10 weight categories across a total of five departments, including clay, mat, junior (emerging), Greco-Roman senior group, and women’s wrestlers, during the state-level wrestling convention organized by the Maharashtra State Wrestlers Association. This is in accordance with the government decision dated May 7, 2021.
