Recognition and remuneration for senior athletes who have made unparalleled contributions at the national and international levels.

The government has made an important decision to increase the honorarium so that athletes who have brought glory to the state’s name in the national/international level can live their lives with dignity in old age. The revised honorarium is to be provided from April 1, 2010. On March 6, 2010, the government made an important decision to include wrestlers who receive the Maharashtra Kesari title in the honorarium scheme for elderly athletes. According to the government decision dated March 4, 2024, the honorarium has been increased.
