Establishment of State Sports Development Fund

In order to effectively foster and promote sports culture in the state, to create sports facilities, to provide services of foreign sports coaches to quality athletes, to provide financial support to renowned athletes, to adopt certain talented players and teams to develop national and international champion players, and to involve government institutions, semi-government institutions, industrial and commercial establishments, and voluntary organizations in sports development. According to the government decision dated September 6, 2021, under the State Sports Development Fund, the state government allocates Rs. 50.00 lakhs annually, along with donations from various industrial and commercial establishments, 40 percent of the amount collected in the district sports development fund through the district council, municipal corporation, and municipality, and 40 percent of the funds collected in the district sports development fund from educational institutions, and funds collected through exhibition matches, cultural programs, and other initiatives are included in the state sports development fund.
